Steve Blanks’ Innovation Doctrine takes a pragmatic and holistic view of innovation, stating that “organizational redesign, innovation activities, and process reform need to be part of an overall plan.” Organizations need to explain how and where innovation will be applied. Barriers include lack of shared beliefs, validated principles, tactics, techniques, procedures, organization, and budget.
